Outlined Pixel Font
(this tutorial was created in psp 7)


For the purpose of this tutorial I'm going to use the Redensek pixel font.

First set your font to size 10 and apply it to the image. Cut it from the image and paste it back as a selection. You then need to expand the font by 1px. You can do this by clicking on Selections > Modify > Expand and expand the selected text 1px, like this:



While the selection is still floating, get the fill tool and fill it with a solid colour, I'm using black. Then click on Selections > select none, and the image will stop 'floating' then apply the same font, same size, different colour, over the top of the font that you filled and this is the result you will achieve:



You can apply this technique to most fonts however, it works best with pixel fonts.
